Natsumi KONISHI(Japanese, English, a little German)

Travel designer, Tour leader

I was born and raised in Fukui. I studied Psychology at the university of Tsukuba and at the university of Bonn in Germany as an exchange student. After graduating university, I have been working for Eurex, coordinating many trips to both Europe (for Japanese travelers) and Japan (for non-Japanese, mainly French speaking travelers). I started sailing when I was 8 years old and I am very happy to introduce the beautiful sea, coasts and islands of Japan to you by sailing, cycling or any other ways you like.
If you want to enjoy sailing in japan, I recommend the Seto Inland Sea (Setouchi). There are hundreds of small islands and you can enjoy island hopping by sailboat. You will never get bored with always changing seascapes around you! Cycling on Shimanami Kaido over the Sea is also highly recommended.
If you prefer to stay at a beach and maybe enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving as well, I recommend Okinawa, which is the southwest part of Japan with subtropical climate. It’s far from the main island of Japan, but it’s worth visiting! Not only the main island of Okinawa, I recommend visiting other islands, such as Zamami, Miyako and Ishigaki, too. I assure myself that you will be fascinated by clear blue water, colorful coral reefs and sea creatures, healthy local dishes and a relaxed atmosphere there!
